If there is any trend this season that I think is super cute this is definitely the polka dot trend! When I was younger I didn’t appreciate it that much because I had it associated with something old. But as I got older I started to like it more and more and nowadays I just love it. One of the reasons why I love it, is because it reminds me of my grandmother and my childhood which brings back a lot of good memories. She used to wear a black and white polka dot set and everytime I see polka dot I always remember her. The set had a midi skirt and a V neck top.
Polka dot is a huge trend this season. Big dots or small, black and white or with colours in tops, dresses, skirts, pants, shoes you can find it literally everywhere! Valentino, MMG, Self- Portrait and Christian Dior are some of the designers who also fell in love with this pattern and had polka dot on their fashion shows.
I was on the hunt for the perfect polka dot piece of clothing. I still have so many on my list and I don’t know which one to buy next and if I need more polka dot pieces in my closet. Recently I bought from Bershka a simple black and white polka dot T-shirt and a red and white polka dot bodysuit. Today I’m wearing the bodysuit and let’s take a moment to appreciate how cute this is. It has little red buttons on the front, frill sleeves and the most perfect red colour. It gives me vintage vibes and I really like it.
For this look I styled the red polka dot bodysuit with a denim skirt, flat ankle boots and a rattan black bag. Ideally I wanted my shoes to be more suitable for a warm weather but I don’t have so many spring and summer appropriate shoes with me in the Netherlands. I left most of my warm weather shoes back in Greece when we moved here. The perfect summer outfit for me would be a polka dot dress with flat sandals, straw hat and straw bag. It would be ideal for strolling around an island. I strongly believe that you can transform and outift but changing the shoes and the accessories and that what I plan to do on my vacations with this outfit. I’ll change the shoes for sure and by adding a hat it will be great for a hot summer day.
Εαν υπάρχει κάποια τάση αυτήν την σεζόν που να την βρίσκω εξαιρετικά χαριτωμένη είναι σίγουρα το πουα! Όταν ήμουν μικρότερη δεν μου άρεσε καθόλου γιατι το είχα συνδέσει στο μυαλό μου με κάτι παλιό. Μεγαλώνοντας όμως άρχισα να το εκτιμώ όλο και περισσότερο και πλέον το αγαπώ! Ένας απο τους λόγους που με κάνουν να το αγαπώ είναι γιατί μου θυμίζει την γιαγιά μου και τα παιδικά μου χρόνια και μου φέρνει πολύ όμορφες αναμνήσεις στο μυαλό. Η γιαγιά μου συνήθιζε να φοράει ενα πουα ασπρόμαυρο σετ και κάθε φορά που βλέπω πουα την θυμάμαι πάντα. Το σετ αποτελούνταν απο μια midi φούστα και μια μπλούζα με V.
Το πουα είναι μεγάλη τάση φέτος. Μεγάλες βούλες ή μικρες, ασπρόμαυρο ή με χρώμα, σε μπλούζες, φορέματα, φούστες, παντελόνια, παπούτσια μπορείς να το βρείς παντού! Οι Valentino, MMG, Self- Portrait και Christian Dior είναι μερικοί απο τους σχεδιαστές που αγάπησαν το σχέδιο και το ένταξαν στην ανοιξιάτικη και καλοκαιρινή συλλογή τους.
Ήμουν προς αναζήτηση του τέλειου πουα ρούχου. Ακόμα έχω κάποια στην λίστα μου αλλά προσπαθώ να αποφασίσω αν θέλω κάποιο και γενικά αν αξίζει να πάρω και κάτι ακόμα στο ίδιο σχέδιο. Πρόσφατα αγόρασα από τα Bershka ένα απλό ασπρόμαυρο πουα T-shirt και ενα κόκκινο πουα κορμάκι. Στο σημερινό post φοράω το κορμάκι και ας πάρουμε ένα λεπτό όλοι για να εκτιμήσουμε το πόσο χαριτωμένο είναι! Έχει μικρά κόκκινα κουμπάκια μπροστά, λευκές βούλες, frill μανίκια και το πιο όμορφο κόκκινο χρώμα. Μου δίνει μια vintage αίσθηση και μου αρέσει πολύ.
Συνδύασα το κόκκινο πουα κορμάκι με μια τζιν φούστα, ίσια μποτάκια και μαύρη σε ψάθινο στυλ τσάντα. Ιδανικά θα ήθελα τα παπούτσια μου να ήταν πιο ανοιξιάτικα κατά βάση τα περισσότερα ζευγάρια μου είναι στην Ελλάδα. Εδώ έχω τα πιο χειμερινά μου κομμάτια που είναι σαφώς πιο χρήσιμα. Το τέλειο για μένα καλοκαιρινό σύνολο θα ήταν πουα φόρεμα με σανδάλια, ψάθινο καπέλο και ψάθινη τσάντα. Συνέχεια σας λέω πόσο πολύ πιστεύω οτι η αλλαγή σε παπούτσια και αξεσουαρ μεταμορφώνει ένα σύνολο και το σημερινό δεν αποτελεί εξαίρεση. Στις διακοπές μου θα το συνδύαζα σίγουρα με πιο καλοκαιρινά παπούτσια και οπωσδήποτε ένα ψάθινο καπέλο!
