Hey loves! On the previous post I told you everything about our weekend away in Belgium but I wanted to dedicate one whole post only to the Mary chocolaterie we got from Brussels. Belgium is famous among other things for the chocolate for a reason. If you ever tried a Belgian chocolate you know what I’m talking about! If not then you better find yourself a good quality Belgian chocolate and thank me later!

So it comes without surprise that we got lots of chocolate when we visited. Mary chocolaterie though stole my heart with the packaging. It was laying there in the window display so elegant and beautiful and I couldn’t help myself so we went in. You could get an already filled with chocolates box or you could pick them yourself. We did the latter and we chose the ones that were more appealed to us. I can’t say I loved every single flavour we picked but I’m amazed by how well the flavours complemented each other on each chocolate. Also the texture of the fillings and the whole finess of each little chocolate blew my mind. Hands down one of the top 3 chocolates I’ve ever eaten in my life. Even the ones I didn’t enjoy that much were bloody amazing!

And speaking of amazing let’s talk a bit more about the packaging. The lady in the store told me that Mary opened her first store in 1919. She specifically designed this drawing for the queen, king and prince in silk. The pink is for the queen, the blue for the king and the green for the prince. It’s called the Rosine and as you can see in the photos it has gold details, is covered with pink roses and on the center there is a drawing of a woman picking roses.
It’s cardboard and inside it’s chocolate sits on it’s own extra paper. The chocolates are covered with an extra gold paper that insures no chocolate touches the box. This is amazing as you can use the box after you eat all the chocolates. I will keep it for sure as a decoration but I don’t think that I’ll place anything inside it.

The pink one was the biggest size and it contained around 15 chocolates. Because we chose the chocolates it cost 29.5 euro (otherwise is 27.5). It is a bit expensive for chocolate not gonna lie but is a whole different experience for your mouth. Definitely worth it if you are a chocolate lover. Next time we’ll be in Belgium I want to get the other too boxes as well to have the whole collection. In my opinion it makes also the perfect gift for those who love chocolate and beautiful boxes. If you ever find yourself in Belgium give these chocolates a try!
